not recognizing abusive behavior as abuse until you’re out of that situation is not at all unusual and does not mean your experiences are less real, less valid, that the abuse didn’t happen, or that you deserved it
women having to lie about their feelings and beliefs in order to avoid being killed and/or abused by you is not really the same as “passive aggression” or “manipulation” or “emotional abuse” on the woman’s part. nice try though.
